“The Refugee Journal”

A magazine created by refugees

SBOverSeas is proud to publish the first issue of our Refugee Journal. This bi-monthly magazine is a medium to empower our community: the youth, women and men that SB OverSeas works with and provide them with ownership over the way their stories and creations are conveyed. Any pictures, stories or other media in this journal are produced by and through the eyes of refugees we work with and for at our education centres in Beirut, Saida and Arsal, as well as in accomodation centres in Brussels.

This inaugural issue features predominately the voices of the youth that we support in Brussels and in Lebanon, in honor of them and International YOUTH Day.

We would like to extend our thanks primarily to the young creatives and whose work and stories featured here, as well as to our teams in Beirut, Saida, Arsal and Brussels. Thank you to Micaela Lafretta for the design of this inaugural issue.
